I won’t make my kids the butter laden scones, but will make them the “Utah scones.” You know, the deep fried dough. I won’t buy the packets of hot chocolate, but will make the kind with non-fat powdered milk and cocoa to go with those scones. I was raised on both and I turned out pretty darn good.
I am the real deal because I enjoy the mornings listening to the birds, watching the chipmunks running around, watching the crows chasing the squirrels for the piece of breads I put out , watching the sun rise or rain come down – I love spending time with my husband who was my highschool sweetheart over 40 years ago – I love to sew and crochet and that means collecting fabric and yarn – playing in the dirt and planting garden and playing with my flowers – listening my our daughters joys and tears – crying at sad and happy movies – going into the woods and helping my husband bring back nasty looking logs and watch him turn them into works of art with a chainsaw – and BEST OF ALL ~~~~~~~ BEING A GRANDMA to our wonderful – beautiful – funny – happy grandson AEDAN!!!!!

I am the real deal because: I will spend money for clothing for my son and husband, but am “frugal” when buying clothing for myself. For Mother’s Day I prefer a gift card to be spent on fabric rather than a gift card to a spa. I like practical Christmas gifts rather than luxury gifts. And most importantly, my life revolves around my family.

Hi. I guess I am also the real deal! I lived next door to a dairy farm as a child. I remember having the Milkman bring the milk to our house. I had 2 uncles that worked at the dairy and 1 that worked at the ice cream factory. I remember the invention of and the use of the wonderful corner milk carton machine on our corner when I was in grade school. A great memory for me was the day my mom counldn”t find a sitter for me and she really had to go shomewhere so she left me at the ice cream palor attached to the dairy so the girls behind the counter could keep an eye on me. My uncles took me on a tour of the factory and I ate so much ice cream that day I was in heaven. I can still smell the freah fruits and the milk and the factory was so clean and shiny. I wonder if that is why I still love milk and ice cream today? Great memories of my Uncles and the , what I thought where the best jobs on earth Ha Ha hee hee I was a lucky kid that day!

You sound so much like me. I prefer the smell of just clean soap and water to perfume. Some people make me wonder why they smell so bad they have to put that much perfume on. They just should take a shower. Oh well look at the money I save by not buying it.
