Perfect Pie Crust Tutorial on Tasty Kitchen

I am guest posting today on Pioneer Woman’s Tasty Kitchen Blog. Several weeks ago, my mom joined me in the kitchen for a day of making pies. At the end of the day we had fresh peach pies and a tutorial to show for our work. If you ever feel daunted by the prospect of making pies, be sure to pop over and check it out.

Today is a perfect day to make a pie for someone you love. The post on Tasty Kitchen is dedicated to the a Pie for Mikey movement. Jennifer of In Jennie’s Kitchen lost her husband suddenly. Join her as she implores everyone to “make a pie today and share it with someone you love. Then hug them like there’s no tomorrow because today is the only guarantee we can count on.”

So much enjoyed the pie crust post. It not only was informative, I adored that you were cooking with your mom. My mother also made exceptional pie crusts. She used Crisco, and sort of measured the ingredients, adding more shortening or water as needed. I, on the other hand must measure! More practice I guess! Thanks for sharing!
