Spring is Here!

Saturday was the first day of Spring.  And if to say Mother Nature meant business, yesterday was the warmest day of the year so far.   Even though a little snow is due tonight, I’m not daunted.  Winter has lost all it’s bite.

This week, I can’t wait to get out into my garden for the first time.  Looking out my window the other day, I saw the first sign of Spring: my little purple crocus was blooming.  There’s work to be done too, because along with the crocus, I already have weeds!

I can’t wait to plant my peas, sweet peas, lettuce, spinach and arugula from seed right into my garden this week.  We are also planting some of our seeds indoors later in the week.

Indoors, I am working on an Easter towel for my kitchen… and a few other fun Easter projects.

Every Spring, I fall in love with all things light green, yellow, pink, purple and blue…  And I can’t help feeling cheerful.  I want to wash the windows, Spring clean the house, and go on long walks in the sunshine.

Doesn’t Spring always bring with it renewed hope?  It is the knowledge that life really is a cycle and there are always good times and bad.  If times are hard, good times can and will come again.  I am so happy Spring is here.
