April Showers

It’s cool and rainy this morning, and I love nothing better than being snug in my home on a day like this.

I got out early today and took a few photos in my yard between the rain showers.  I just love when the forsythia is in bloom.  It’s right outside my kitchen window and makes me happy as I wash dishes.

This early viburnum is also blooming in my yard, and the colors are so pretty.  It makes me want to make a quilt.

I’ve been making more thread catchers….

This one is mostly made from Denyse Schmidt fabrics.  I think I’m going to write a pattern for it.  It’s the best functioning thread catcher!

I’m also working on one other little thing…   I just can’t seem to get enough of 30’s fabrics lately.

Beautiful pictures and beautiful sewing :) I really hope that last picture is just a teaser…I have some lovely pieces of a double wedding ring quilt that came from a farm sale. So cool but I am a little intimidated. So many curves and then putting those pieces together!
Hope you will be sharing lots more pictures and how-to info.

Please do make a pattern! Although I have a thread catcher that could be adapted to hang off the edge of my sewing table, I would love to make one like yours!

I keep checking back, hoping for the thread catcher pattern! Would make a great gift for my mom’s birthday :)
