A Few Highlights from our Vacation

IMG_4945

We just got home from our vacation and I must say I am sad to see it end.  It was so beautiful it took my breath away.  Here are a few highlights from our trip.

Emma loves horses and lost no time making friends with them.  She just made the discovery that this horse, Smoky has a green tongue.  She figured he’d been eating his vegetables.

Ben lost no time climbing everything he could find to climb… fences, the loft in the cabin, the rock fireplace in the cabin, hills and trees…

My husband Drew isn’t in any of the pictures!  That’s because he was either taking pictures or gone fishing.

Our dear friend John (and sponsor of this lovely weekend) helped Lily to ride the horse Smoky.  She could hardly contain her joy!  She now wants to own a horse ranch when she grows up.

My mom spent time quilting on the deck in the sunshine.

My Dad just loves the chance to enjoy his grandchildren.

We loved spending time with our cousins.

Isn’t that a pretty crop of wheat?

We did so many fun things in such a short amount of time… like visiting Jackson Hole, running the Snake River in a raft, eating the best Huckleberry milkshakes at the Emporium in Victor Idaho, fishing, and just enjoying nature…

I even had the chance to relax on the deck and read…

… and I loved just taking in the view.

I feel so peaceful right now, I’m not even fussed by the ten loads of really dirty laundry waiting for me now that we’re home.
